About Sing-Along Messiah - a Sing Together Simcoe Workshop and Concert Project
"Thank you very much for organizing this event and the opportunity for us to participate in this Sing-Along Messiah. For both of us, it was our first time. To be able to join in with the Members of the Chorus and with many talented Messiah Fans was certainly a special experience." A. Hemming
Proudly funded in part by the County of Simcoe.
About our free workshop: Get a Handle on Handel
RSVP for our FREE Messiah workshop - Get a Handle on Handel -- the night before the big event.
Workshop is Thursday, December 8, 7-9pm at St. Paul's United Church in Midland. You do not have to be at the workshop to join the sing-along, but it's a great way to brush up on Messiah first so you'll be in tip top singing shape to sing-along on the Friday. You can also decide to attend the workshop only, but we hope you'll be inspired to join the sing-along, too.
Workshop Conductor: Mitchell Pady
Accompanist: Colin Eccles
The workshop was followed the next night with the concert: Sing-along to Handel's Messiah with The Cellar Singers, soloists and orchestra on Friday, December 9, at 730pm at St. Paul's United Church in Midland.
This workshop-concert Sing Together Simcoe project is proudly funded in part by the County of Simcoe.
+ The Silent Auction is a very cost-effective way of advertising and
promoting a business.
+ Gift Certificates, Gift Baskets, Products are all great items.
+ Donor's business card can be laid out beside the items...A great way 'to be seen'
+ Charitable Receipts can be provided.
+ When you approach someone, we get seen. We are out in the community. This is all positive.
+ The buyers get deals. They are helping a greta cause (us!) and may discover items and businesses not discoverable any other way.
+ People have fun...they love to shop.
+An auction table that is diversified and groaning under the weight of a lot of items, speaks well to the Gala night. It creates buzz and physical movement in the room. People like to help those who help themselves. We will sell more tickets to subsequent concerts.
